HP 67 Ink Cartridges: Black & Tri-Colour Guide

The HP 67 is one of HP's most common inkjet cartridges, used across the DeskJet 1200 and 2700 series and ENVY 6000 and 6400 series. If your printer takes it, here's what to know before buying an original HP 67 black ink cartridge.

Black vs. Tri-Colour

HP 67 comes in two cartridges: black (pigment-based, for crisp text) and tri-colour (cyan, magenta and yellow in one cartridge, for colour documents and photos). Most printers that use the 67 take one of each. If you print mostly black text, you'll replace the black far more often — that's normal, not a printer problem.

Standard vs. XL

HP 67 is also sold in XL high-yield versions. The XL black prints roughly twice the pages of the standard cartridge. Do the per-page math: if you print regularly, XL is cheaper per page and means fewer cartridge swaps. Occasional printers can stick with standard.

Buy Original HP 67

Printer manufacturers design their ink and print heads as a system — original cartridges protect print quality and keep your warranty intact. Vonex Shop stocks the genuine HP 67 black ink cartridge with Canadian shipping. Match the number on your old cartridge and you're set.
